In the tradition of This is Spintal Tap and Fear of a Black Hat, Jackie Washington becomes the subject of a skeptical British documentarian (Tim Curry, The Rocky Horror Picture Show) who is give the arduous task of examining the all-too-numerous twists and turns of Jackie's erratic show biz career. Among the most prominent are her failed star turn as sultry D-cup detective Coco de Crčme and the marketing of her signature hair relaxer "Essence of Jackie" which sent dozens to the hospital. Her private life is replete with assorted scoundrels and hangers-on, annoyed family members and famous former associates, most of whom want nothing to do with her.
